All four tables show that Asian American ethnic groups make up most of these top 10 categories. Of the top 10 highest foreign-born populations, ALL are Asian American groups.
Of the top 10 highest LEP, 9 are Asian American groups.
Of the top 10 highest less than high school, 7 are Asian American groups.
Of the top 10 highest uninsured, 6 are Asian American and 1 is NHPI ethnic groups.
What is surprising is that many publications give the impression that Blacks and Hispanics have the highest inequalities in these categories. However, these data clearly show otherwise. This stresses how essential it is to look at disaggregated data in order to avoid overlooking the inequalities that Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander ethnic groups face.
